In early August, Mid-Ohio Energy hosted its Member Family Fun Day events, bringing nearly 1,200 members and family-members to the events for free food from local food trucks, inflatables, live line safety demos, and more.

This year's events marked the third year in a row the co-op hosted the family fun days, which continue to grow in popularity amongst the membership. This year, the cooperative added more food trucks and inflatables to accommodate growing crowds.

Also new to this year's gatherings was in-car registration— with the co-op giving away a door prize of portable, rechargeable mini-fan, while each member was entered to win a grand prize of a large portable indoor/outdoor misting fan with 56-volt battery.

Kids in attendance were able to participate in a scavenger hunt to earn a copy of the "Cat & Duck and the Electric Cooperative" book, or a kid’s hat branded with the co-op’s logo.

Members were able to order from any of the 6 local food trucks at each event. The diverse menus included favorites such as brisket nachos, wood-fired lasagna, steak quesadillas, deli-fresh muffuletta, 9 flavors of homemade ice cream, and deep-fried Oreos.
