Powering up the fun: Co-op members plugged into Member-Family Fun Days!
Mid-Ohio Energy's Member-Family Fun Days returned in August, and were a hit with members as the co-op enjoyed a great turnout of more than 900 co-op members and their families!
The co-op held events in Marion (at Elgin HS) on August 7 and at our Kenton office on August 14. In total, the events drew a crowd of more than 900 members/family members for free food, inflatables, live line safety demonstrations, and door prizes.
The events were filled with food from four local food trucks, fun with large inflatable obstacle courses/bounce houses, and a casual environment for members to relax with friends and family.
Members also had the opportunity to meet with the co-op employees and trustees, and take in a live electric line safety demo.
This year, the co-op focused on adding even more activities for youth at this year's events. In addition to the inflatables, a scavenger hunt for kids for the opportunity to earn their choice of a youth hat or a copy of the children's book "Cat, Duck, and Co-op". Other activities included a build-your-own bucket truck craft and the opportunity to "dress as a lineman" and check out the co-op's line trucks.
We enjoyed the opportunity to engage with so many of our members during the event!
Mid-Ohio Energy would like to thank all the members and their families who attended the events, the vendors and local food trucks, as well as the co-op's staff. We appreciate everyone's involvement in making this a memorable rural community event.
Check out a video recap of the events!
