CFL Exchange Program info

UPDATE: Mid-Ohio Energy will be receiving a final alottment of CFLs to exhange with members.  The program will end December 31st of 2010 or when supplies are diminished. New regulations will require incandescent bulbs to use less energy in the future, so take advantage of this program and start saving now.  Members who have already exchanged 9 bulbs are eligible to trade an additional 9 bulbs.

We are exchanging your incandescent light bulbs for new energy-efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs), at no cost! 

Bring in your old incandescent bulbs into our offices and we will replace them with CFLs.  We will exchange up to nine bulbs.

CFL bulbs are 19 watt (75-watt incandescent equivalent) “soft white” bulbs.

The program is intended to obtain immediate energy savings, promote energy efficiency and encourage responsible disposal/recycling of CFLs.  The bulbs can save up to 75% of energy used by traditional bulbs.

This is not a giveaway program, but rather an exchange program in which incandescent light bulbs are replaced with free CFLs.  It is a limited time program and will last through December of 2010 or until supplies are diminished.  Please make sure all exchange bulbs are intact, no broken bulbs will be accepted.
