Water Heater Program

Water Heater Marketing Program as of July 1, 2007

• Qualifying new home installations would receive a 50 or 75 gallon Marathon® water heater from the Cooperative at no cost.  If the member chooses to buy an electric water heater with at least a ten year warranty from an outside source they may receive up to a $ 500 reimbursement.
• Existing homes or installations may receive up to a $ 200 rebate on any size of Marathon® water heater unit. If the member elects to purchase a different brand unit, the installation would also be eligible for reimbursement up to ½ the purchase price, not to exceed $200.00, on qualifying electric water heater units with at least a ten year warranty.
• A qualifying electric water heater installation must have a radio-controlled switch (RCS) installed in order to be eligible for any rebate or reimbursement.  Payment will be made in the form of a credit to the member’s electric bill.
