Water Heater Program

Water Heater Marketing Program as of January 2009.

Mid-Ohio Energy members can receive rebates on the purchase of qualifying water heaters by participating in our load management program.

New homes: 

New homes are eligible for an energy credit reimbursement of up to $500.00 on a qualifying water heater.

Existing homes:

A member replacing an existing water heater will be eligible for reimbursement of up to half of the purchase price, not to exceed $200.00.

Qualifying water heater requirements:

• 50 gallon or greater capacity
• Heating elements must be 4500 watts or less
• 8-year minimum warranty
• Must have radio-control switch (RCS) switch installed by the cooperative.

Reimbursements will be made in the form of a credit on the member’s electric bill.
